Public transport in Split
You will walk almost everywhere in Split. Public transport matters for two journeys: the airport and the trips to Trogir or the beaches beyond the old town.
From the airport to the centre
| Option | To | Time | Adult fare |
|---|---|---|---|
| OptionBus 37 City line to the airport and Trogir | ToSplit city | Time50 min | Adult fare€3 |
| OptionAirport shuttle Private operator | ToSplit Main Bus Station | Time30 to 40 min | Adult fare€10 |
The shuttle drops you near the ferry port, so it suits you if you are heading straight to an island. If you are staying in the old town, check the price of a taxi or app ride first, because one or two people sometimes pay only a little more.
In the city
The city buses are run by Promet Split and mostly serve the suburbs, the beaches and the airport. For a short stay you will probably only use bus 37. The operator publishes its full price list on its site, with a separate list valid from 1 June 2026, so read that one before you plan the budget.
Where the stations are
A simplified drawing for orientation, not to scale. The harbour and the old town are close enough to cross in a few minutes.
