How to use SkyLand
- Find a place – type the name of a town, village, peak or coastal place into the search box at the top. Search also understands names without accents and older names.
- Read the summary – the top of a place page shows the current temperature and a short weather summary for today and tomorrow.
- Plan your day – “Next 24 hours” shows temperature and weather hour by hour, “7-day forecast” shows the days; open a day for more detail.
- Explore the area – the “Nearby” compass shows neighbouring places with distance and direction; radar and satellite at the side show rain and clouds around the place.
- Choose a language – the site is available in 22 languages; switch at the top right. You can bookmark a place page or share it.

Who it is for
For travellers and day-trippers, hikers and climbers, swimmers and sailors, and anyone who wants a quick look at the weather where they are.
Where the data comes from
Forecasts for places and peaks come from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway), sea data from Open-Meteo, and the radar, satellite and wind maps from Windy. Data is refreshed several times a day, and place names are written in the local language.
