Climate – Greece
Greece has a mainly Mediterranean climate with long, hot, dry summers and mild winters, when most of the rain falls. The west (Ionian Islands, Epirus) is much wetter than the east and the Cyclades, and the mountains get snow in winter.
Averages 2022–2024 (Athina): the warmest month is July (average daytime high 34.8 °C), the coldest January (average night-time low 5.6 °C). About 468 mm of precipitation falls per year; the wettest month is December (77 mm), the driest October (6 mm), with around 65 days of at least 1 mm.
