Public transport in Riga
Riga runs on three kinds of vehicle: trams, trolleybuses and buses. One ticket system covers all of them, and the centre is small enough that you will use it mostly for the airport, the Art Nouveau district and the way home after dinner.

Bus 22 is the daytime link between the airport and the centre. After midnight the N22 night bus takes over, once an hour: from the airport between 12.30 am and 4.30 am, from the centre between midnight and 4 am.

Riding rules
Services run daily from 5.30 am to 11.30 pm, and in summer night buses run on weekends and public holidays.
Riding without a registered ticket costs a fine of €15 to €30, so register the ticket on every vehicle, including the second one of a transfer.
